35kg PTU Positioner for Long-Range and Multi-Sensor Payload Integration
The JEC-PTU-7230 is a 35kg PTU positioner for projects that need to integrate their own large camera housing, long-zoom visible camera, thermal module or approved EO/IR payload. As a separate industrial pan tilt unit, it allows the optical and sensing configuration to be matched to project requirements instead of limiting the system to a fixed PTZ camera assembly.
For a heavy duty pan tilt unit, nominal payload capacity is only one part of the engineering decision. Payload dimensions, center of gravity, mounting plate, wind load, cable routing, required pan and tilt range, operating speed, voltage input and installation environment all need to be reviewed together. This is particularly important for long focal-length optics and high-point installations, where balance and environmental exposure affect final system behavior.
Heavy-Duty Mechanical Platform
The source material describes a full-metal precision worm gear transmission, a DC brushless motor drive and digital absolute-position feedback. These features are intended to support controlled movement, repeatable preset operation and heavy payload integration. Final motion and positioning performance must be confirmed against the current approved JEC specification for the selected payload.

JEC-PTU-7230 is the first JEC model to review for a verified 35kg pan tilt requirement. For a lower 15 kg payload class, review JEC-PTU-2315-HP. For payloads above 35 kg, do not assume a suitable JEC model is available; provide the payload drawing and operating conditions for engineering review.
