Thermal PTZ Surveillance for Oil & Gas and Chemical Plants

13 3 月, 2026 Qinqin Zhu

Overview

In oil and gas storage sites, refineries, chemical plants, and hazardous material areas, a surveillance system must do more than record normal video. It must support night monitoring, long-distance perimeter protection, abnormal heat detection, equipment inspection, and remote verification in complex environments with steam, smoke, glare, high-temperature equipment, and restricted zones.

This project uses a dual-spectrum surveillance design combining a Thermal PTZ Camera and a high-definition visible PTZ camera. The system is deployed for plant perimeters, tank farms, loading and unloading zones, pipe racks, pump stations, processing areas, and flare tower surroundings.

The thermal channel helps detect abnormal heat sources, human intrusion, vehicle movement, overheating equipment, and possible fire risks. The visible channel supports target confirmation, visual inspection, and event evidence recording. With Long Range Surveillance Camera, heavy-duty pan tilt control, preset patrol, AI intrusion detection, and VMS platform integration, operators can monitor key areas from the control room and reduce the risk of manual inspection in hazardous zones.

For areas with explosion-risk classification, explosion-proof housing, certified mounting accessories, or project-specific protection can be selected according to local safety requirements. This solution is suitable for oil and gas facilities, chemical plants, tank farms, LNG stations, petrochemical parks, port fuel depots, and high-risk industrial sites.
