Flexible U-Frame Payload Layout
The U Series is intended for applications where the customer already has camera modules, processors, radar interfaces or customized sensor housings.
The integration structure can be adapted for:
- Single central payload
- Dual-sensor EO/IR payload
- Separate visible and thermal housings
- Thermal camera plus laser rangefinder
- Wide-angle search camera plus telephoto verification camera
- Customer-developed processor and tracking module
- Additional GPS, inertial or orientation devices
The final mounting design should be based on payload dimensions, total weight, center of gravity and required field of movement.
High-Speed Tracking and Target Handoff
Direct-drive motion allows the PTU to respond quickly when receiving new pointing coordinates. With pan acceleration up to 300°/s² and tilt acceleration up to 240°/s², it can support fast repositioning in anti-drone, perimeter and mobile-target observation workflows.
Actual tracking performance depends on the complete system, including sensor frame rate, lens field of view, detection algorithm, controller latency, communication update rate and target dynamics.
EO/IR and Laser Payload Integration
The U Series can support project-specific integration of:
- Visible zoom cameras
- Cooled or uncooled thermal imagers
- Laser rangefinders
- Laser illumination modules
- Wide-angle detection cameras
- AI tracking processors
- Radar or command-system interfaces
Optical axes, sensor centerlines and parallax should be evaluated according to the expected working distance and verification workflow.
Control and Feedback
Standard communication interfaces include RS485 and RS422 with PELCO-D support. Customized communication commands, network control, angle feedback formats and system linkage can be evaluated according to customer requirements.
For radar-guided operation, the integration review should define:
- Coordinate format
- Azimuth and elevation reference
- Update frequency
- Pointing-command latency
- Angle feedback
- Target-handoff logic
- Reacquisition workflow
Outdoor and Critical-Site Deployment
The PTU is designed for operation between -40°C and +60°C, with IP66 protection and surge-resistant power input. It is suitable for fixed and mobile installations in:
- Counter-UAS systems
- Airport perimeter surveillance
- Border and coastal monitoring
- Critical infrastructure protection
- Vehicle-mounted surveillance
- Vessel and unmanned-platform projects
- Industrial site security
- Long-range EO/IR observation
Application-specific corrosion resistance, shock and vibration protection, heater systems or marine coatings should be confirmed separately.
Custom Engineering and Integration Support
JEC can support:
- Payload mock-up evaluation
- Mechanical interface design
- Center-of-gravity and inertia review
- Internal cable and slip-ring configuration
- Custom power output
- Communication protocol adaptation
- Tracking-system linkage
- Environmental test planning
- Factory acceptance testing
- First-system engineering cooperation
